What is Roll Tuff

Roll Tuff is an ultra durable, waterproof, and UV-resistant car seat cover that provides the toughest protection for your seats from moisture and dirt while still allowing you to go about your day without sitting on a wet seat.

After installing Roll Tuff behind your headrest, flip it to the front of your seat and easily roll it down to protect your seat. When not in use, roll it up and conveniently store it behind your headrest. Since it doesn't permanently mount to your seat you can flip it out of the way and go about your day!

Why Roll Tuff

After a hard workout or a long swim, the common way to protect your seat from sweat and grime is usually a towel or an off the shelf car seat cover. The problem with these products is a towel allows your sweat to bleed through and an off the shelf seat cover permanently attaches to your seat. When you want to go about your day after your workout you're left with a wet, sweaty seat, that you don't want to sit in. Who wants to get their fresh clean clothes all wet? With Roll Tuff you can sit on a 100% waterproof seat cover after your work out and when you want to travel, simply roll it up and flip it out of the way to sit on a completely dry and clean seat. Use Roll Tuff after working out, swimming, or after any activity or weather condition where you want to protect your seats from liquids, debris, children, dogs, and even sand. Ditch the towels and permanent seat covers. Protect your seats with Roll Tuff.

Installation and Use

Make sure your headrest is removable and is height adjustable.

Remove headrest.

Wrap elastic cord around headrest supports making sure Roll Tuff is facing the correct position.

Reinstall headrest allowing enough space between seat and headrest for Roll Tuff to nest into.

Roll Tuff should unroll down, fabric side up. If it unrolls down and the rubber backing is showing, remove Roll Tuff and reinstall in the correct orientation.

To use Roll Tuff, rotate around headrest to the front of the seat.

Unroll the top portion with one hand and use your other hand to push down on the end of the internal banding until you hear a "pop".

Keep unrolling and use one hand to keep Roll Tuff at the seat junction (where the top of the seat meets the bottom of the seat). Push down on the end of the banding near the seat junction until you hear a "pop". While keeping your hand in the seat junction use your other hand to fully unroll the seat bottom portion. Curl the front of the Roll Tuff seat protector for smaller seats or fully extend and push down on the end of the banding until you hear a "pop" for longer seats.

See instructional video for installation and use.

Do not sit on seat cover when internal banding is coiled.Ensure internal banding is always fully extended before sitting down.

Make sure to fully coil between headrest and top of seat.

  • Why use Roll Tuff seat protectors?
After a long workout, swim, or any activity where your clothes will get wet or sweaty, we commonly try to prevent getting our car seats wet by placing a towel over the seat or install a seat cover to protects our seats. Unfortunately, a towel is not water proof and allows moisture to come into contact with your seat. A seat cover may provide some protection, but is permanently installed with straps or ties, leaving you with a wet, sweaty seat to sit on. Over time, moisture can damage your seat material, especially sweat. When we sweat, the salt in our sweat can cause damage to not only cloth seats but also ruin leather. The moisture and salt dries out the material causing it to become weak and brittle, eventually leading to cracks and tearing. With Roll Tuff, you can sit on a 100% waterproof seat cover and when you need to go about your day, roll up Roll Tuff, flip it around your headrest, and sit in a dry seat. Roll Tuff also prevents sweat from from penetrating your seat which can create odors over time. No sweat in the seats means no odors to deal with.
  • How do I use the Roll Tuff seat protector?
When you want to protect your seats from moisture, grime, kids, or weather, rotate the Roll Tuff seat protector from behind the headrest, fully unroll it so it covers your seat, and sit! When you are done using it, simply roll it up and rotate it back around the headrest and out of the way. It's that simple! Guides are installed in the fabric to make rolling up easier and more convenient. To use Roll Tuff, rotate around headrest to the front of the seat. Step by Step Unroll: Rotate Roll Tuff to the front and center of the seat. Unroll the top portion with one hand and use your other hand to push down on the end of the internal banding until you hear a "pop". Make sure when you are unrolling the fabric side is facing out. If you see the rubber backing while unrolling, reinstall on the headrest in the proper orientation. When unrolled you should be sitting on the fabric side and not on the rubber backing side. Curl the front of the Roll Tuff seat protector for shorter seats or fully extend and push down on the end of the banding until you hear a "pop" for longer seats. Roll back up: Tuck the hanging fabric under and curl the end of the banding until you hear a "pop" sound. Make sure to roll the front fabric under before popping the end of the internal banding. Continue to roll the fabric toward the seat junction. Make sure the internal banding rolls over itself so the roll of fabric does not side track. Use both hands to roll the fabric up to the second internal band. Roll up to the end of the second band and use one hand to "pop" the end of the banding and continue to roll to the top of the seat. Flip Roll Tuff around the headrest to the back of the seat. Make sure there is space between the headrest and top of seat so Roll Tuff sits fully coiled. If the seat cover is not fully seated it may unroll during driving. See instructional video for installation and use. Do not sit on seat cover when internal banding is coiled.Ensure internal banding is always fully extended before sitting down. Make sure to fully coil between headrest and top of seat of the seat cover may unroll while driving.
  • Will it attach to my seat?
The Roll Tuff seat protector will attach to almost any removable headrest with vertical supports (the two metal bars that connect the headrest to the seat). The elastic can stretch around vertical supports that have a max width of 10 inches. Seats with integrated headrests (a headrest that is not height adjustable or cannot be detached from the seat), and in some cases integrated seat belts (seats that have the seat belt mechanism permanently attached at the top of the seat), will not allow attachment of the Roll Tuff seat protector. the headrest connection to the seat must be free of obstructions and allow the Roll Tuff seat protector to rotate freely.
  • What colors are available?
The Roll Tuff seat protector is available in black, charcoal gray, mocha brown, white, kelly green, silver, navy blue, burgundy, orange, royal blue, tan, and red.
  • Will the fabric fade?
The Roll Tuff seat protector is UV resistant, but as with the nature of all fabrics, colors will fade over time due to exposure to the sun. How quickly colors will fade is dependent on the amount of sun exposure. For example, exposed fabric in a car always parked outdoors in direct sunlight will have the fabric color fade sooner than in a car parked indoors.
  • How do I clean the Roll Tuff seat protector?
Hand wash. Wipe with a soft cloth, warm water, and a mild cleaning agent. Test the cleaning agent on a small spot first to make sure it does not discolor the fabric. Do not scrub, especially the rubber coated side. Scrubbing may damage the material and degrade the waterproofness. Do not machine wash. Do not iron. Do not bleach. Hang dry.
  • Will it cover my seat?
The Roll Tuff seat protector comes in one size and provides coverage for most all sedan and SUV seats. See image for dimension.
  • Will it work with my heated seats?
Heated seats can still function as intended and will not damage the seat protector.
  • Will it damage my seats?
The Roll Tuff seat protector is made of a polyester fabric with a rubber backing. Direct contact with the seat will not damage the seat.
  • Does it interfere with the seat belt of airbags?
When installed and used properly, the Roll Tuff seat protector does not interfere with the operation of airbags or seat belts.
  • Does it interfere with active headrests?

  • Is the Roll Tuff seat protector 100% waterproof?
Yes! The seat protector has a rubber backing to make the entire cover waterproof. All components are sealed without sewing so there is no chance for liquids to transfer to your seat. The front fabric may get wet but does not allow water to transfer to your seat.
  • What is the Roll Tuff seat protector made of?
The Roll Tuff seat protector is constructed of 100% polyester with a PVC rubber coating on the back.
  • Can I use it in the summer and winter?
Yes! The seat protector can be used in hot or cold environments. Prevent rain-soaked clothes or sweat from soaking into your seats during those hot summer days. Stop sleet and snow from penetrating your car seat during freezing winter months. Use it year-round!
